At first I was going to wait until my friend uploads the whole video and photo report before writing this. But it looks like it’ll take quite a while before he finally had the chance to do it, so I’m doing this earlier.

Apparently international relationship is a SERIOUS BUSINESS. The opening ceremony of this Expo was opened by our president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono accompanied by Japan’s ex-prime minister Yasuo Fukuda, our national newspaper chairman Jakob Oetama, and Nikkei’s CEO (forgot his name). A lot of famous Japanese companies put up stands, and we also got to see some exhibition of their cultures. 3D Shinkansen movie; real Japanese obake (ghost house); kendo, igo, and kimono exhibition; and even a performance by some real classic Japanese musicians with koto, shamisen, and such.

The legendary aviator - Charles "Chuck" Yeager flew at the speed of sound at 14th October 1947, 61 years and 2 days ago. Although it’s two days late, let’s commemorate the event!

First of all, sorry for abandoning this site for so long. OTL. A lot of things happened since my last post, and now I’m officially a university student! Taking computer major, I’m struggling with this new life to pursue my dream! *Cue BGM: Otome wa Do My Best Deshou?*

And so, in this new university, totally on a whim because there aren’t any decent club, I established anime club. 22 people registered, and 20 people came on the first meeting today. Quite surprised when I found a lot of otaku there (at first I only expected Narutard and the like), and one of them blatantly asked if we’ll show H anime. Without thinking I replied, “Like Shoujo Sect?”. Some of them laughed and said, “So you watched that kind of show too?”

Crap, I thought I’ve blown out my cover.

Putting that away like an easy joke, I smoothly drove the conversation into something like what are we going to do in this club besides watching anime, cosplay party plan, etc. Most of them wanted to learn Japanese. Darn, they don’t know how expensive it is to hire a teacher!

We closed the meeting by watching an “introductory first episode” of Minami-ke. Some had good laugh, but those who’ve watched it made some commotion by talking among themselves and spoiling the story. Grrgh, those kind of people are the worst.

Anyway, as the post title implied, yesterday was my birthday, so thanks for everyone who’ve been congratulating me! =D I’ll be in your care again~
